Introduction to Startup Life is an 11-week long introductory course designed for students who are interested in the technology industry and who are looking to get a first-hand look into life at a startup company. The first few weeks of the course are lecture-based and will delve into the variety of aspects of startup life, including the benefits of working at a startup, different kinds of startups and their components, and startup culture. The second half of the course will be focused on group work, in which students will be asked to submit and present a unique plan for a startup of their own. Students will have a chance to present their company to a group of angel investors in the final week of the class. Students may have one unexcused absence during the course of this class.
