The objective of this course is to teach students the fundamental ideas behind poker. Throughout the semester we will dive into the many intricacies of this topic including basic material such as how the game is played and simple strategy, to more advanced concepts such as pot odds and implied ranges. Poker heavily relies on statistics and probability when played optimally, and this course will strive to reveal the complex mathematical world of poker.
Upon completion of this course, students should have a strong grasp of the basics of poker and how to approach it from a more analytical point of view.
