Our class will be teaching about the Peace Corps and what it's like to be in the Peace Corps through lectures and guest speakers. Our guest speakers have all either served in the Peace Corps or are currently recruiters for the Peace Corps. We will also run down how to apply, what makes a strong applicant, what deadlines to look out for, and how to browse available locations.
The class has no papers, but the midterm and final exam are in the form of a project. Aside from the midterm and final, each student is required to write ATLEAST 5 reflections of speakers or lecturers they've heard throughout the semester. The reflection has to be a minimum of 1 page long.
Attendance is mandatory for this class; however, we will allow 2 excused absences. If one is going to be absent, they must let the facilitators know in advance. More than 2 absences can be repealed by doing an extra reflection for each extra absence.
