The overall goal of the course is to bring awareness to the importance of proper oral hygiene in relation to other diseases. Specifically, this dental health course will discuss oral hygiene, preventative measures, dental procedures and treatments, oral diseases, and new dental technology through interactive activities, and the introduction of 5-6 specialties within dentistry. There will be 2 reflection papers, 1 midterm paper, and 1 final presentation. No more than two unexcused absences.
