This first part of this course includes individual and group exercises, games, and techniques to free the actor physically and to stimulate creativity, imagination, and self-expression through improvisation and theater games.
Using a wide range of improvisation techniques, each student will gain expression tools and flexibility in creating a range of characters. Students will also enhance communication skills and awareness through group storytelling. Sharing our own life experiences and point of views while “playing” in ensemble scenarios will promote an open and interactive learning environment.
In the latter part of the course, students will be exposed to the fundamentals of sketch comedy and learn how to craft short sketches themselves.
Attendance and active participation are required and necessary to gain everything you should from this unique opportunity.
