Ever wanted to learn how to build an app, but didn't know where to start?
Well, Cubstart is the Decal for you.
Cubstart is Cal Hacks’ course for beginner hackers at UC Berkeley. Throughout the semester, we will provide mentorship and workshops for all students to learn basic skills in programming, team building, and ideation. We welcome those with little to no computer science or programming experience!
In addition to weekly lecture and lab, you will work in teams on a semester-long project developing your own apps. You will be split into two tracks—iOS and web development—to learn the necessary skills to build on your respective platforms.
**[Spring 2021 Schedule:]**
Lecture: Monday 5-6:30 PM PST
Lab A (iOS)*: Tuesday 5 - 7 PM PST
Lab B (Web)*: Tuesdays: 5 - 7 PM PST
Lab C (Web)*: Thursdays 6 - 8 PM PST
Lab D (iOS)*: Fridays 6 - 8 PM PST
* You will be required to attend all lectures and one lab section each week, corresponding to your track (iOS or web development).
Exceptions will be granted for those requesting timezone accommodations.
