Policy Review at Berkeley is a student-led, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal that is designed for students of all academic disciplines to reflect on and write about the policy implications of their fields of interest. The mission of the journal is to make policy easily accessible, understandable, and applicable for undergraduates from varying academic disciplines and personal backgrounds. The Policy Review at Berkeley DeCal course is designed to help students build interviewing, academic writing, policy-making and policy analysis skills through extensive writing, fieldwork, and simulations. To all Public Policy minors: this course counts for credits towards the minor!!!!!!!!!
This semester’s theme is “Design vs. Reality: Unintended Consequences in Public Policy." We’ll be focusing on policies that may not have achieved the impact they were intended to have and explore strategies that may make them more effective in the future.
This course begins *TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 4th from 6:30PM TO 8PM in WHEELER 108*! We will meet at this time and place every Tuesday for the rest of the semester.
