This 1-unit DeCal teaches technical skills important to the design of assistive technology. Students will be walked through the design process and taught technical skills (such as 3D modeling, 3D printing, laser cutting, Arduino, and electronics) through the perspective of assistive technology design.
The class will be held Thursdays 5-6:30pm consisting of a 1 hour lecture followed by 30 minutes of active work on a hands-on project.
No prior experience or major is required for this course.
