This course aims to provide students with a foundation in fundamental aerospace engineering principles, and will consist of three sections: the engineering design process, structures, and aerodynamics. Students who complete the course will be prepared to employ fundamental principles of engineering towards a wide variety of problems in the field of aerospace.
Class time will be a mix of lecture, discussion, group activities, and hands-on testing of student designs.
Student performance will be assessed based on three group projects completed throughout the course. Each project will employ techniques and principles introduced during lecture, and will allow each student to develop, prototype, and test solutions to aerospace challenges.
Students of all backgrounds interested in engineering or aerospace are encouraged to attend!
