To An Unknown God is an exploration-based course in Christianity focusing on the theme of “Identity” this semester. By examining both Christian and secular sources, and by participating in open discussion, students will look into fundamental aspects of identity, guided by weekly readings intended to represent a diverse range of intellectual thought. Taking this class is a great way for students to introduce themselves to the writings of Christian authorities.
In addition to this exploration, students will submit one individual article, piece of poetry, or visual artwork to the TAUG journal, UC Berkeley’s premier Christian publication. Everyone regardless of worldview is encouraged to enroll in the course and to participate actively in discussion with an open mind.
Towards the end of the semester, students will examine current events (both political and social) under the lens of the material covered by the class.
