This course’s goal is to introduce students to working with nonprofits and solving common issues they face due to restraints in resources. We will be looking at nonprofits in the Bay Area that The Berkeley Group has worked with in the past, as well as nonprofits we did not have the capacity to help. The work we are doing will span across formal consulting recruitment, such as interviews and professional development skills around consulting, to deep diving into nonprofits in the Bay Area and working to provide them solutions. The class aim is to identify needs of social sector organizations and provide students with tools to interact with nonprofit organizations in a business setting.
There will be a couple quizzes and research papers on different nonprofits of your interest - it's an opportunity to discover how your interest in nonprofits can be used towards different capacities.
