This course will stand as an overview of the controversial topic of geoengineering and the social implications around it. This class will discuss the objectives, potential benefits and ramifications, and ethical implications of utilizing geoengineering techniques to attempt to solve global warming. We will discuss and reflect on many geoengineering methods, including solar radiation management and carbon dioxide removal. The course will review international policy around these methods. The class will include discussion, debate, and a project.
