Financial Modeling & Fundamental Analysis aims to help build the next generation of investors by teaching the fundamental skills required to screen and research stocks. This course brings together both qualitative fundamental analysis and quantitative valuation techniques to create and present strong investment theses. The ultimate goals of this course are to teach students how to make educated decisions in investing for their futures, help future analysts develop the tools needed to break into the finance world, and develop broader research skills that can be applied to a variety of industries. No background in finance is needed to succeed in this course; we only ask that you have a strong interest in the subject and are willing to put in the necessary time needed to develop mastery of these skills.
This class is strictly a P/NP Course. Lectures are mandatory (attendance policy to be covered in class), and students are expected to present 1 Midterm Stock Pitch, and 1 Final Presentation throughout the semester, along with 4-5 Homework Assignments.
