The Democratic Education at Cal (DeCal) Program is one of Cal's largest student-run organizations, with over 200 facilitators and 9,000 students participating in DeCal courses each semester. The DeCal Board internship will give you the opportunity to work with other students on the Board and to experience maintaining this outstanding program.
No previous experience with DeCal is required, but any is greatly appreciated.
As an intern, you will join one of our four committees (Administrative, Fundraising, External Affairs/Marketing, or Development) in order to help implement and plan the numerous projects that sustain the DeCal program every semester. You also have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas for furthering our efficiency and effectiveness. For a complete description of each committee, please refer to the Committee Description file below.
In addition to weekly DeCal Board meetings, you will also attend an hour of intern training each week to give you a detailed perspective on the historical roots, current developments, and operations of this program.
We are looking for distinguished candidates who are truly enthusiastic about DeCal. If you are one of them, please do not hesitate to apply!
