Building your own start-up requires endless number of skills and abilities. From writing your own executive summary, to preparing your own deck; from raising funds, and exiting.
This course is designed to help students gain the valuable skills that are needed in order to open their own start-up. During the course, students will be split into groups and will have to work on launching their startup. The final presentation will be a pitch in front of potential investors.
The topics covered in this course will give students the knowledge and skills to prepare them for a vast array of careers in business, including, but not limited to, finance, consulting, and venture capital.
Some examples of startups we will cover: Mobileye (acquired by Intel for $15.3B after IPO in 2014), SodaStream (IPO in 2010), WAZE (acquired by Google for $1.3B), Better Place (unicorn startup with over $1B in funding that failed), Given Imaging (acquired by Covidien Plc for $860M), and more.
