Asian American Pacific Islander Health Research Group (AAPIHRG) invites you to enroll in our 2-unit Break the Silence: Speaker Series Spring Decal.

Asian American & Asian Diaspora Studies 98/198
2 units, P/NP
CCN: 13093
Our Spring Decal provides students the opportunity to learn more about contemporary health issues in the Asian American Pacific Islander Community. Participate in lectures and discussions led by AAPI physicians, community health researchers, activists, and policy analysts in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lectures aim to highlight AAPI community health and social justice issues currently invisible within the UCB curriculum such as gentrification and community displacement, youth incarceration, occupational health and mental health disparities, and workforce development.
All sessions are open to the campus community. Students interested taking the Break the Silence speaker series as a DeCal will receive 2 units and have the opportunity to apply for a research internship or course facilitator position in the fall. This future opportunity provides students with mentorship from AAPIHRG's network of alumni medical and health professionals.
