West Coast Swing (WCS) is a smooth, slotted swing dance. It evolved from Lindy Hop here in California and adapted into its own dance form. (Fun fact: it's California's State Dance!)
West Coast Swing is danced to a variety of genres from pop and hip hop to blues and swing. What makes West Coast swing unique is that it puts a premium on improvisation, creativity and musicality. It gives dancers the opportunity to express themselves through the wide variety of music genre and styles.
