We're back! This is a very popular and very fun DeCal that's had a great reputation for years. We will teach you not just how to dance Salsa, but its historical significance and culture from which it came. Please join us for an exciting semester! Already taken our class once? Apply for our intermediate section this Spring!
What you should expect:
The first hour of the class will be a lecture on various aspects of salsa: history, instruments, artists, and more. We will also be showing a movie! The second hour of class, we will have our dance instruction. (The best part of the class!!!) What you learn will be based on your level and your instructors.
What we expect:
In order to pass our course, you will not miss more than two classes (three tardies equals one absence), you will turn in two write-ups, and complete a final project. The write-ups are one page, double-space reflections on two salsa dancing experiences outside of the decal. The final project for beginners is a one-minute dance video and for intermediates, it’s a two-minute live performance during class. More information on the assignments and projects will be given at the informational meeting!
No day(s) left until application deadline!
