For both the first-time meditator and experienced yogi, this course will explore the constraints that keep us from finding satisfaction in the present moment by examining perspectives on ecofeminism, capitalism, and neoliberalism.
What does it mean to live in harmony with the Earth? What keeps us from finding this state? How do material objects improve your life? Is consumerism a bad thing? Are you happy? What does it mean to be happy?
If you are interested in any of these questions, or just curious about meditation and how it may benefit a stressed-out Berkeley student, come say hi at our first class! This class will meet Tuesdays 6:30-8 p.m. in 102 Wurster. We can't wait to meet you.
We will have a strict attendance policy. Only one unexcused absence will be permitted.
